Sorry for the lack of posts, its been a busy couple of months here at Johnson Arms 🙂 I hope you will enjoy the photos as I get back into a normal posting mode, hehe.
Be well and have a great weekend, everyone!
This weekend is MegaCon in Orlando, Florida and I’ll be there with my son and some friends! If you’re planning to be there, I hope to get a chance to meet ya 🙂 Although I don’t plan to carry an armload of props, I will be planning to bring a few things just for fun.
Have fun and see you guys there!
Here’s a few photos since last month’s update! More coming soon! 🙂
Hi folks! Things are hopping at the shop, here’s some progress photos of the things we’ve been working on for the upcomming convention season. I hope you enjoy the pics! 🙂
Here’s some progress photos from the past week and there will be more to come soon! 🙂
Most of these pictures show commissioned pieces, but please let me know if you have any interest in having something made for yourself!
Have a great weekend and thanks for the visit!
The good folks at G33kwatch.com putting on a marathon to benefit the Childs Play charity. It’s a great event with some very cool stuff planned including auctions and giveaways. You might even recognize one of the live auction prizes…hehe.
Check it out at http://masseffectmarathon.com
Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!
So I got a few solid resin reach pistols from a guy by the name of Smick6 on The RPF. They’re very nicely done and I hope the paintwork compliments his castings 🙂
If you need anything customized, let me know! Johnsonarms76@gmail.com
Hey folks! Here’s some progress photos from this week’s projects. It’s my weekend with the kids, so sorry there won’t be more of my element prose…oh, you’re ok with that? Well carry on then! Lol
Thanks for the visit and email me if I can be of service! 🙂
I call it a pirate pistol and I bet its something else..but it looks legit and that’s what matters, right? 🙂 it’s not the nicest casting ever with a small upsweep in the “barrer packing bar”. I assume it was just bent during a high-seas ship assault, hehe
It is available, email me if you have any interest or think it would make a keen steampunk/sky captain base 🙂 Johnsonarms76@gmail.com
So the day has finally come to move into a more proper workspace! Here’s some photos of the chaos and a bit of the stuff I’ve collected over the years, a lot of which I forgot I had, haha.
Now that I have a much higher rent bill, expect to see us making a lot of use of the new room. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, feel free to make a trip over to see it in person! 🙂
Just a quick photo of the Nerf Vera custom. I just have to cement a few pieces and paint that riser for the scope 🙂
Let me know what you think, I’ll have the final photos done in a day or two!
Finn’s Demon Blood Sword (from the cartoon “Adventure Time”) made a lot of progress this week. All the pieces are together and the blade has been sanded into a nice even shape. This will be finished up next week, so check back for final photos. Thanks to my Dad for his fabrication skills! 🙂
and yes, I can probably do additional copies for any interested parties. My email is Johnsonarms76@gmail.com Thanks!
We’re setting up for a photo shoot and I couldn’t resist taking a shot of the prop table. 🙂
Thanks for checking them out and I appreciate you telling your friends who dig this kind of stuff 🙂
If you need to reach me regarding a question or commission, please email me directly at email@example.com. I promise to get back to you as soon as I can 🙂
Here are some photos of the project I worked on with Christopher Glas Studios. It’s a slightly modified Nerf Stampede…lol. Ok, it’s a LOT modified. 🙂 I hope you all approve and I’ll try to link some video of the gun in use. It’s rather impressive, I think!
Just a quick update on the newest M6 SOCOM kit. Humidity has slowed everything down for the past few weeks, but tomorrow we bring in the solution! A dehumidifier that can extract up to 16 gal per day. I’m excited to see it earn it’s keep 🙂
The M6 kit is by Benjamin Armstrong and it has a lot of really killer details. This first one is spoken for, but let me know if you want one of your own. I promise they will be special 🙂
The Rhino 50DS you see is by wonder squid on RPF. They’re modeled after the gun used in the new “Total Recall” revamp film. I have orders ready to go as soon as the kits are finished. Let me know if you want to be in the list!
I had a helmet donated for the purposes of seeing what I could do with a Carter helmet. Here’s the helmet at about 90% (still needs the visor!) – if anyone is curious about my choice of blue..I liked this better than Periwinkle lol
This one is almost done, I just need to add a few more details to finish it up! The custom magazine is a functional with 6 rounds capacity 🙂
For the Emperor!
It’s been a busy week with a lot of rain here in Florida. Not the best combo, but I make the most of the dry time I do have. Here’s a few photos I hope you’ll enjoy until the next big update 🙂
I was customizing an Adventure Time sword and got a big reaction to this progress photo. I thought I’d put the offer out there to make some more if anyone’s interested. Any combination of colors you’d like. Thanks and I hope you all have had a chance to check out the show, it’s awesome 🙂
Here’s the newest Longcolt for any Trigun Fans out there! I ended up having to use aluminum pipe to support the cylinder. I also threw out the crummy nut and bolt hardware for the frame’s pivot point. It’s all fixed in place now, but it looks a lot better and it’s a hell of a lot more secure for handling 🙂
I’m ready to get after another one if anyone’s interested. Thanks!
Thought I’d also share the custom Rayven I’m doing for fun. The front grip is from a NERF hornet secured with the rail adaptor sourced from a stampede shield. The scope is from an airsoft kit.
If this one interests anyone, let me know because it’s going to need a home next week 🙂
What a difference some paint magic does, amiright?
I’ll have it finished up tomorrow do expect some finished photos soon!
I can’t wait to get primer on these! Just a quick shot to show before-after 🙂
So I did my first public show yesterday at the Orlando Mini-Maker’s Faire. I brought out a bunch of stuff and really had a great time sharing them with a lot of great people. If you were one of those kind souls, thank you for your interest and patience as I figured out how to answer 3 peoples questions at one time 🙂 I think I’ll be better prepared for whatever’s next – thanks for being a part of the event!
My thanks to the great folks who put on the event, it was so well organized. I hope I’ll always see that kind of professionalism (that might be wishful thinking, hehe)
All the Best,
