custom movie props and customized nerf guns

A quick sketch

Input appreciated, just know its rough and will be cleaned up before a prototype would be made. Thanks!

  1. That’s a cool sketch. I wouldn’t mind purchasing a sketch of the M-98 Widow Sniper Rifle… Just to add that gamer feel to my room 😛

Very nice work you’ve got here though.

  2. What would you use for the glowing green liquid? An old school trick: Highlighter insert soaked in the water… glows under blacklight. Detergent in water works as well (under blacklight). I like your sketch and the look of this particular piece.

    • I use to do that with liquor bottles in college! Great idea, I just wondered how long it would react with the light, but I recall them working for years. I also considered green LEDs with a frosted glass to make it glow more evenly. Thank you for the input and if you know any skilled 3D artists who can convert 2D sketches, let me know 🙂

  3. Looks great, the sight on the front is a tad strange though. I think it’d add to the uniqueness of your work if you sold concept art of the guns with the guns.

    • That is an excellent idea. I’m also looking into cases to hold the guns, either on the wall or on a counter top. I think that would really make a nice way to display them. Thank you for the input about the front scope (I agree) and also the sketches. I’d be happy to if they look half-decent! 🙂

Oh, wow. What to say that hasn’t already been said? Awesome and a half. Selling the concept sketches is a valid idea. I really dig your style. LED’s with frosted overlay would be good. I tend to use clear silicone when I need to affix a light in something, since it’s (obviously) clear and waterproof.

    • Thanks Joe! That’s the direction I’ve wanted to go and doing the NERF guns has been a great thing to practice on. I’ll not stop doing those, but to have my own designs takes the reliance off of others to make the kits for me. In looking forward to it 🙂
