PHOTO AVALANCHE Update! 9/4/12

I’m sorry for the lack of posting recently, it has been a busy time here at Johnson Arms, haha.  I’ve been bad about taking photos, but I hope this edition will show that I’m trying to remedy this.  I hope that some of the secret projects will be post-able soon, but until then, I’ve been trying to keep busy with private commissions.  There’s probably going to be a duplicate in this posting, but I hope it will be the best quality version you’ve seen thus-far, hehe.   Thank you as always for your interest and support in what I do.  You guys make this a lot of fun, even when it’s a stress-facotry :)

Thanks for checking them out and I appreciate you telling your friends who dig this kind of stuff :)

If you need to reach me regarding a question or commission, please email me directly at johnsonarms76@gmail.com. I promise to get back to you as soon as I can :)

Just a bunch of spray painted NERF guns?

I hear that every so often, so here are a few of the upcoming steampunk revolvers (and a slide-action scout). I hope these will satisfy the folks yearning for more embellishments :)

HALO style pistol with rubberized grips

Weathered up this scout and decided to try out my new rubber coating. It’s designed for dipping so applying with a brush was a bit tricky. After a few tries I think it came out cool and properly weathered to match the rest of the gun. It feels good too, like there’s actually something other thank plastic in your hand :)

Just a few more small details and it’s ready to ship out to its new Spartan owner!

Custom Nerf Vortex Vigilon in the works!

Thanks to a generous gift in the mail today , I started work on a custom painted Nerf Vigilon from the upcoming Vortex series. It was stamped with a few odd phrases…DO. NOT. SELL. :) I didn’t pay a dime, so I’m going to assume I won’t have my doors kicked in any time soon! I posted some photos below of the gun out of the box as well as into the sanding phase. It’s got putty drying right now, but tomorrow I should be ready to base coat and then get after masking this weekend. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it comes out, because I have no idea what I’m going to do with it at the moment :)

Stay tuned, as the photos show there are some other cool props in the works as well! Add me on facebook if you want to see more WIP photos of this and all the other silliness! facebook.com/johnson.arms
